NJ Native Britt McHenry Confirms She Has Brain Tumor

Britt McHenry, a former ESPN employee from Mount Holly, confirmed she has a brain tumor and said surgery is imminent on Twitter on Thursday evening.

"I have a brain tumor. I’m with an amazing medical team and surgery is imminent. Thank you for continued support and understanding at this time."

McHenry said she wanted to keep the diagnosis relatively private, but “as usual, things are being said without my consent."

"I have a brain tumor. I’m with an amazing medical team and surgery is imminent. Thank you for continued support and understanding at this time," McHenry wrote.

Earlier, she tweeted about getting an MRI on Monday and alluded to bad news on Tuesday.

“Please I can’t stress enough, make your check-ups," she tweeted. “Get an MRI early. It could have saved me.”

McHenry worked at ESPN from 2014-17. She was part of widespread layoffs in 2017. In summer of 2018, she joined Fox Nation. She has claimed ESPN fired her because she is white.
